At just 25 years of age and blossoming into one of the most prolific shooters the league has ever seen, Stephen Curry is brimming with confidence.

He is so confident, in fact, that in an interview with ESPN the MagazineCurry was asked where he stood in spectrum of the most-clutch players in NBA history:

Q: So let’s say there are five seconds left in the game, one shot to win it all, and you get to draw up the final play in some Space Jam–type world. On the floor is Ray Allen, Jordan, Kobe, Reggie Miller and you. Who’s your No. 1 option?

A. Curry: Jordan’s No. 1. I’m No. 2. Then you go Ray, then Reggie, then Kobe. Three-pointer or not, same answer.

No, that’s not a typo or a misquote. Curry believes he’s more clutch than Ray Allen, Reggie Miller, and Kobe Bryant, two sure-fire future Hall of Famers and one already enshrined in basketball glory.

Along the same lines of confidence, Curry was essentially asked whether he or Klay Thompson was the better three-point shooter:

Q: At practice, who wins a three-point shooting contest between you and Klay Thompson?

A; Curry: Me. But I’m sure if you call him right now, he’d say him. [Laughs] That’s how it is with two confident shooters.

Curry undoubtedly has a heck of a career in front of him. Hopefully he walks the walk and becomes one of the greatest clutch shooters of all-time.

See Curry put his three-point shooting and clutchness to the test when the Warriors host the Houston Rockets Friday night. Get your GS Warriors tickets here.
