The Lakers stand to lose both Antawn Jamison and Earl Clark next season, as they are both unrestricted free agents. Landry is leaps and bounds better than these two, and if the Lakers are unable to retain Dwight Howard next season, they will be looking for ways to shore up their frontcourt.

In fact, Landry could probably see starting minutes if the Lakers shift Pau Gasol to center, as there would functionally be no better options for the power forward position. The chances for postseason success for Landry would probably be lower in Los Angeles than in Golden State, the Lakers would be able to provide him with the financial security that he probably craves.
