ESPN’s Bill Simmons is never afraid to voice (or tweet) his opinions, and like it or not, whatever he says seems to generate interest amongst NBA fans.
But apparently, the players pay attention to Simmons as well. Golden State Warriors’ forward Draymond Green sent out this tweet late Friday night after Simmons criticized him:
Is @billsimmons the guy who said l can’t shoot? Then in the playoffs was tweeting a lot of love?Clown probably never touched a basketball lol

To give some context, here is what Simmons said in the studio during the Warriors-Lakers game: “The Warriors are 2 guys short. They are six and a half guys…I’m counting Draymond Green as a half.”
And in case you’re wondering, here is the “love” that Simmons tweeted about Green during the playoffs last season, in his usual satiric style:
Draymond Green taking a 3 in the 4th quarter of a road playoff game = high comedy. That’s my new favorite moment of the playoffs.

The Celtics passed on Draymond Green to take Fab Melo.

Green scored seven points and collected seven rebounds in 19 minutes against the Lakers, and has been seeing more playing time in recent games because of a number of injuries to other players in the rotation.
