Golden State Warriors Invite Seth Curry to Training Camp

The Golden State Warriors have offered Seth Curry an invite to training camp, according to Sporting News. Yes, Seth Curry is indeed Stephen Curry’s brother. And he can shoot a bit too, posting a 43.8 three-point shooting percentage at Duke.

Curry has a few offers lined up, however. He will work out for the Charlotte Bobcats this month after passing up on their Summer League offer. He also missed draft workouts because of a stress fracture in his right shin.

The Duke Product also has training camp invites from the Minnesota Timberwolves and San Antonio Spurs along with the Warriors.

As the report points out, there’s a special connection in two of those offers.

Two of those possible suitors have a distinct Curry flavor. Curry’s father, Dell, played for the Hornets and brother, Stephen, is a current member of the Warriors. And if you know of the Curry family, you know they can shoot the ball.

The reports hints that Charlotte may be Curry’s first choice because it’s his hometown, but sure, it’d be a cool sight to see the Curry brothers on the same team. Still, the possibility of that seems unlikely given that the Warriors have a host of guards.

Can’t believe they slept on Seth. He’s gonna be a great spot up shooter in the NBA

They didn’t really sleep on him. He was injured pre draft so teams were afraid to draft him. Personally I think he’ll be fine, especially after his older brother has said Seth is a better pure shooter than him. Which is saying a lot.

How bout if the Lakers sign him to a one year deal, he comes off the bench at SG, after Kobe and Meeks. or PG after Nash and maybe Blake. Seth would go on an underrated team, get the 6-8 seed in the playoffs, and be able to play against his brother a lot, giving LA tips on how to stop him and/or have Seth be an annoying brother guarding him. LA needs shooters, and Seth needs a team. Win-Win.
