How Will The Pacific Division Shape Up Next Season - Pt. 2

The NBA schedule is out, and odds are out as well, so let’s how I compared with Vegas.

Odds to win the NBA Championship:

Cleveland Cavaliers 16/5
San Antonio Spurs 4/1
Oklahoma City Thunder 6/1
Chicago Bulls 10/1
Los Angeles Clippers 12/1
Houston Rockets 22/1
Golden State Warriors 30/1
Dallas Mavericks 40/1
Washington Wizards 40/1
Portland Blazers 45/1
Miami Heat 50/1
Milwaukee Bucks 400/1
Philadelphia 76ers 650/1

Odds to win Western Conference:

San Antonio Spurs 13/5
Oklahoma City Thunder 16/5
Los Angeles Clippers 5/1
Houston Rockets 10/1
Golden State Warriors 12/1
Dallas Mavericks 20/1

The Pacific Division

  1. Los Angeles Clippers         5/1
  2. Golden State Warriors      12/1
  3. Phoenix Suns                        40/1
  4. Los Angeles Lakers            50/1
  5. Sacramento Kings              150/1

Compared to how I picked the Pacific:

If I had to predict the outcome of the Pacific Division, my outcome would be:

Clippers – solid team, and proven coach

Suns – I can actually see the Suns and Warriors battling for 2nd

Just from looking at it, I should take a vacation in the desert. I was spot on. Odds are that you were too, if you looked at the current rosters. One can only hope that Kerr and his hybrid triangle offense can live up to its potential.

The odds have the Suns doing a lot worse than I predicted, but I can still see a battle with this guard heavy team.

As always, injuries, and other unforeseen circumstances can cause some drastic changes to these predictions. In short, don’t bet, just enjoy the game!
