NBA Draft 2014: Warriors Not Included In Festivities -- For Now

Today is the big day. Today, many dreams will come true.

Many people will cry, not because of any sadness, but of joy. All the hard work, dedication, practices, games, traveling, and sacrifices are all looking to finally become paid off.

Yes for a select few, the entire NBA world will be focused on them. NBA eyes are on these few gentlemen, in no specific order:

Yes for these select few and some I left off, the NBA world will be watching. Even the Warriors will be watching, and just that — watching.

Sadly the Warriors don’t have a draft pick for this year. The Warriors traded away their first round pick of 2014 for Andre Iguodala, and their second round pick of 2014 to Minnesota. Not bad really, as Iggy is a great player.

Today is a big day for the draft class of 2014. However today isn’t as big as July 1st will be. July 1st will mark the day of NBA free agency. With LeBron James leading the pack, followed by Carmelo Anthony, and a host of others, the fireworks are sure to be on display this year.

James, especially, has all the NBA teams scrambling to make the necessary room, and become credible places for the King to bring his talents. The Warriors could even become one of those places.

The Warriors may not have any draft picks, but what they do have is talent, and in this league talent reigns supreme. The Warriors have several players that they can package for a nice trade, and become even better for next season.

So Warrior fans get prepared for a potentially wild week, as the rumors and trades will be hectic.
