Part of me really wants to know the outcome of this season. Who is the champion? Who was a flop? What trades were made? What moves failed or succeeded? I can’t wait till the season starts, but I’m so excited for it to start that I really wish I knew what was what. But at the end of the day, the reason why I am more eager to find out, is because I’m sick of hearing about LeBron James and how he is adjusting so well with the Heat, and how he is assertive, blah blah blah. Yes, the story of the off-season was the movement of James and Chris Bosh to Miami, while Wade stayed. Also, how the stars said it wasn’t about money, since they all took a pay cut to go to Miami, and how many other basketball players were attracted by the possibility of winning a title and jetted off to Miami. Those players who came in after James and Bosh signed with Miami, are chasing a dream that could turn into a reality if their superstars play well together. But who cares? Every player, every team, every city goes into training camp, annoyed they were a disappointment last season, and ready to reclaim a title. Why is Miami so different? It’s not. Stop looking at Miami with your jaw dropping, eyes wide and mouth drooling. They have yet to prove anything and the road to the finals still goes through the defending back to back champion Lakers. We’ll reconvene in the middle of the season to see if Miami’s hopes and dreams have been close to achieving their dream.
On a Warrior note, Steph Curry’s third year contract was exercised. The Warriors should just have Curry sign to a new contract. We want want to keep him for years!
