Meeting Adjourned......

About an hour ago, a huge meeting was taken placed and an answer was given. No, I’m not talking about the NBA lockout. If anyone was following the intriguing case of Amanda Knox and her appeal verdict, the newly joined Yahoo and ABC news was kind enough to stream live courtroom footage of the appeals verdict. In that, I saw a pale, heart beating and anguished Amanda Knox, who was trying to be comforted by her lawyer. Then we saw the judge and jury walk in and announce that she be set free. Then we saw the reaction from everyone and it was pretty intense. And I just think, this could almost be the same reaction if an agreement can be put in place.

Last week’s meeting did nothing to help talks, as a Monday meeting was scheduled. And in the monday meeting, they were small groups rather than a large group. Clearly, the support from the league’s superstars, LBJ, D-Wade, CP3 have helped the image for the players side. It seems like they have finally taken interest in what’s happening to their league and want something done. Pre-season games are gone. Camps are already pushed back and if nothing is reached by tomorrow, opening night for the season seems impossible. Tomorrow’s meeting will either let the league have a full 82 season game or a scheduled 50 game season. If more delays happen, then it might not be out of the limb that the season could be lost.

As for the Warriors front, Steph Curry has responded to rumors that he would like to play for the Bobcats. As he stated in his twitter account, he has family in Charlotte and if he had to play anywhere else besides the Bay Area, he would prefer there. And as for rumors of Monta Ellis being traded to the Bulls, well nothing can confirm it really. With personnel and players being barred from even looking at each other, teams can not talk about their future plans with their players. So while there could be substance in that trade rumor, the reality is that it won’t be confirmed, denied by the team until the lockout is over.
