Well, in the face of a pending sale, the Warriors have finally got some good news. I’m not trying to be a pessimist, but with only 12 games left, it doesn’t look like the Warriors are making it to the playoffs. But it could come at a steep, but very needed price. With more time in the off-season, the injury plagued Warriors can take this opportunity to get back to full strength and health. And it seems that it is Larry Ellison, CEO of Oracle Corp is the front runner to buy this team, which is in dire need of a organizational change. For years the Warriors have had some decent players and year after year those people leave and we get nothing in return. Even superstar Monta Ellis was questioning whether he wanted to stay for such bad management. What does this mean? It means that the company that is buying the Warriors will hopefully bring back some basketball glory days to the East Bay. During the 2007 playoff run, the arena was electric. Fans were there screaming their heads off and the Warriors were clearly feeding on that energy as they demolished the Mavs. It was and still is clear the the Warriors have a fan base here in the Bay Are. We just need something really good to cheer about. I hope that this buy out will take place and take place soon. The Warriors need to rebuild from within and hope to attract more decent players so that they can return to a competing play off caliber team.
